Description

What is it about
Python is often the language of choice when first learning to code. This session will aim to introduce the Python language, what it can do, when you’ll want to use it and introduce some basic concepts. This will be the start of your Python programming journey and give you a foundation to begin learning more complex code.

When and where

We will meet on the 19th of April from 17:00 to 18:30 in Room ZB19 in the Zoology Building.

How to prepare

No previous experience in coding is required, just bring your laptop.
If you have a Mac, Python is already installed on your machine.
If you are a Windows user, you will need to install software that will allow you to run Python. So please install this program before the tutorial. Go to the link provided, scroll down to the README file and to the Installation section. Choose the installation option via Anaconda and the Python 3.6 version. Mac and Unix users can also download this software if they'd prefer to use the GUI.

Hope to see you there!
