“SHOWCast.GR”: A Contribution From Greece

Hi GEONETCasters,

Dimitrios Papanastasiou, meteorologist from the HNMS (Hellenic National Meteorological Service), kindly shared some screenshots of a SHOWCast adaptation his team is working on, called “SHOWCast.GR”.

This version has the following characteristics:

  1. Selection for three areas: “FDK”, “GRC” and “EUR” (Full Disk, Greece and Europe);
  2. A new player for the photos named “PlayerMeteoATA”;
  3. A new addition named “Userview” where users may select 1 to 4 images in one window for simultaneously animation
  4. On the homepage, they included products from the three operational satellites “MSG-0”, “MSG-RSS” and “MSG-IODC”, as well as maps for SST and an option for forecast maps, significant weather charts, and meteograms which are delivered via EUMETcast systems.

They will share the “SHOWCast.GR” files soon, so others may access it on the blog.
