It has been a while since the last SHOWCast update (version 1.4.0), back in February. After some feedback from users, next week I’ll finally have a new release, called SHOWCast 2.0.

In this new version, we’ll have some nice features:

1-) Automated installation:

No more extra downloads and conda commands! The installation script will do everything for you. Just double click the “showcast_install_windows.bat” or execute the “showcast_install_linux.sh” utilities and everything will be installed and configured:

2-) Automated execution:

No more python commands! Just double click the “showcast_start_windows.bat” or execute the “showcast_start_linux.sh” utilities and SHOWCast will start processing your data:

3-) Interface redesigned:

The SHOWCast product selection interface will be much better, based on tabs and categories:

4-) New Products:

We’ll have two new products visualized on this new release:

ABI / VIIRS – FLOOD MAPPING PRODUCTS

GOES-16 – SAHARAN AIR LAYER TRACKING PRODUCT
