The global history approach emerged as a method for understanding the interactions and connection... more The global history approach emerged as a method for understanding the interactions and connections that have shaped the modern world, preventing fragmentation and providing a specific perspective on world-building. In this study, the global history approach, which has rapidly developed within the discipline of history and has become widespread not only in the United States but also in Europe and Asia, was examined and its effect on the academic achievement of high school students was analysed. This research, in which a quasiexperimental design was used, was limited to a total of 6 lesson hours for 3 weeks, taking into account the acquisitions of the unit. While the unit reflecting the global history perspective was applied to the students in the experimental group, the unit in the current history curriculum was presented to the students in the control group. High school 12th grade students, who were thought to be suitable for the subject and purpose of the study, were determined as the study group. In this context, the 5th unit of the Turkish Revolution History and Kemalism textbook, 'Türkiye and the World in the World War II Process' unit, and three different public schools, namely vocational and technical Anatolian High School, Anatolian High School and Anatolian Imam Hatip High School in İpekyolu district of Van province, were selected as schools. In the study, achievement test was applied to the students in both experimental and control groups as pre-test and post-test. The achievement test, consisting of 30 questions in total, was selected from the questions related to the research topic between 1998 and 2022 by ÖSYM. As a result of the research, it was determined that the history unit prepared with the global history approach had a significant and positive effect on the academic achievement of high school students.

İdâdî, ortaöğretim veren okullar hakkında kullanılan bir terimdir. Arapça "idâd" kelimesinden tür... more İdâdî, ortaöğretim veren okullar hakkında kullanılan bir terimdir. Arapça "idâd" kelimesinden türemiş olup hazırlama ve yetiştirme anlamlarına gelmektedir. İbtidâîye ve rüşdiye okullarından sonra gelen idâdîler, idâdîye olarak da adlandırılırdı. İdâdîler, ortaöğretimin bir kademesi olarak 1869 Maârif-i Umûmiye Nizamnâmesi ile ele alınacak ve gerçek kimliğine bu tarihten itibaren kavuşacaktır. 1873 yılında Dâr'ül-maârif binası ilk mülkî idâdîye dönüştürülmüştür. 1884 yılında alınan bir kararla vergilere zam yapılma kararı alınmış ve sonuçta bu vergiler sayesinde taşrada birçok idâdî açılmıştır. Açılan bu idâdîlerden biri de Erzurum Mülkî İdâdîsi'dir.1885 yılında açılmasına karar verilen Erzurum Mülkî İdâdîsi'nde, 1889 yılında eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerine başlanmıştır.1891 yılında beş sınıflı olan Erzurum Mülkî İdâdîsi'ne, Mülkî Rüşdiye'nin son iki sınıfı da ilave edilerek yedi sınıflı leylî bir idâdî oluşturulmuştur. 1913 yılında Erzurum Mülkî İdâdîsi, alınan karar gereği sultânîye dönüştürülmüştür.

Fort his reason the search we do about idâd will give a information about not only the education status, but also the economic and social status. Idâd is term used for schools that equal to secondary schools of today. Idâd which means prepare and raise, comes after ibtidâiye and rüşdiye schools and named as idadiye. Idâds approached to Maârif-i Umûmiye Nizamnâmesi as a secondary education in 1869 and met with its own identity since then. In 1845 first military idâdî, ın 1873 first mülkî idâdî was opened by converting Dâr'ül-maârif building. As a result of raise of of the taxes in 1884, idâds Bu makale, yazarın Van Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi, Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü'nde hazırladığı Erzurum Mülkî İdâdîsi başlıklı yayımlanmamış yüksek lisans tezinden üretilmiştir.
