"Woman feeding pigeons" sculpture; picture taken when exploring Manchester with friends on the University field trip; we ended up going into the community centre in Canal Street (the LGBTQ+ village area) and then getting lunch at pizza hut.

I still don't know which of the kids at church left this little toy cow outside the door. I'd just arrived for Midweek.

Here's my fitness video for this morning; first time that I'd tried dancing to get fit, really. It was difficult at times to keep up with the instructor's moves, but I tried my best.

It's also my third home workout of the week; so far I'm sticking to the goal that I set myself.

I can only just believe I did this, others at work could hardly believe I did, but I took a day off work just to find where the upcoming Royal Town Planning Institute Five-a-Side Football Tournament would be held, the Friday after. I only came to watch, too, didn't get on the team, despite a bit of silly lobbying on my part. I travelled to Wimbledon, and walked around for a little while, and even visited Wimbledon Common.

Taken in the Cider Hut, first evening that we were in Devon last year. It was interesting to learn more about cider making. The only issue was with buses, when we missed our stop going, and found that there were none going back; luckily some people managed to bring their cars to take us back into town.

I've been feeling bummed after a bunch of things that went badly last night; started this morning with seven minutes of Tai Chai to calm my mind.

I'm hoping to get my laptop sorted out ASAP today, then I have plans to lead a short walk at lunchtime, and do mini golf after work. I also have my start of year appraisal, so am hoping that goes well.

On Strava, I have walked 83.2K steps for the April Walk 100K Steps Challenge. I have climbed 857m for the April Elevation Challenge and 351 feet for the HOKA Speedgoat 7 Vert Challenge.

I've just bought Mum a coffee in a local cafe; we had a good chat, the cafe was unusually busy for a Monday. I got back home to find I couldn't switch my work laptop on, so I'm probably going to have to get it fixed tomorrow; I've given up trying to work for now.

I have decided I'll be sure to go to work at a reasonable time tonight, ensure I prioritise sleep and get refreshed for tomorrow; I'll sit and do some reading and listen to music before bed, avoiding screens, which should help.

I saw this band last year; it was in between visiting a Stag Walkers' stall and going to London. I forgot the name of the band, which was awkward, as I almost immediately got asked. I remember seeing people in gothic-looking costumes in London, maybe for a headbanger festival. That evening, I watched "Witness for the Prosecution" with family.

Yesterday ended up being enjoyable; eating out at lunchtime, and then pub after work, with a very big crowd, finishing with a game of pool. I'll be out later with friends watching the East Anglia Derby (Norwich v Ipswich) and then some more pool afterwards. I attempted to give a delivery driver directions to Sainsburys on my way to the station.

I'm trying to set myself an exercise goal, and have realised the one thing that has been lapsing lately is my commitment to indoor fitness routines at home, which I frequently just find myself not having the time for, or not feeling like doing. I found these quite handy during the coronavirus lockdowns for keeping my fitness, so today I am going to try and discipline myself more to do these at least once a week, 10-20 minutes per session, no cutting short workouts because of the "busyness trap".

On Strava, I have completed the April Ten Days Active Challenge. I have walked 64.3K steps for the April Walk 100K Steps Challenge, and have climbed 775m for the April Elevation Challenge and 82 feet for the HOKA Speedgoat 7 Vert Challenge (due to a watch SNAFU, I barely recorded any elevation gain yesterday).
