SpecSync v5 is here!

We’re thrilled to announce SpecSync v5 — probably the most important update in our almost 10-year history. This release lands for both SpecSync for Azure DevOps and SpecSync for Jira, and from now on the two products will be versioned together under the same semantic versioning scheme.

SpecSync is not impacted by SpecFlow end-of-life

As you might have heard, Tricentis has announced the end-of-life of the SpecFlow open source project. According to the announcement, SpecFlow has reached its end-of-life on December 31, 2024. As of 1st of January the SpecFlow GitHub projects have been deleted and the support section of the specflow.org website are disabled.

Multiple SpecSync users have asked if this has any impact on SpecSync.

In December 2024, Tricentis announced the end-of-life of the SpecFlow open source project. According to the announcement, SpecFlow reached its end-of-life on December 31, 2024. Reqnroll v2.0 released

Last week we released a new major version of Reqnroll: Reqnroll v2.0.

We released v1 three month ago and this time has been used to review many concepts and dependencies that we inherited from SpecFlow. We quickly ran into breaking changes (as expected), but our testing solution was not good enough yet to allow us to make smaller, incremental releases (continuous delivery). It took us 3 month to stabilize these, but now, starting from v2 we will be more capable of frequent delivery.

BDD Addict Newsletter 2024 April #61

Dear BDD Addicts,

The best thing in work this month? Definitely the Living Documentation Event (LDE24), it was a conference in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Living documentation is a key element in BDD and actually I have to say that this conference has been a true BDD conference that I have really missed since BDDx and CukenFest was not organized. 100 people, friendly atmosphere, good talks, pizza, beer, old and new friends… It was really nice. I was invited by the organizer team to do the closing keynote about the SpecFlow – Reqnroll change and the role of living documentation in that: the first time I talked about Reqnroll at a public event.
