The project management process is complex, usually required extensive and collective attention to a broad aspect of human, budgetary and technical variables. In addition, projects often possess a specialized set of factors in which if addressed and attention given will improve the likelihood of successful implementation. On the other hand if these factors were not taken seriously might lead to the failure of the project manager. This process is controlled by many factors. As project management are being explored widely in the construction industry, it is therefore vital to identify factors that contribute to the successful implementation of project management and to identify the factors’ relative importance as the project management journeyed throughout its life cycle. This project, therefore, identifies what are the influencing factors for the success of the project management, particularly in the Nigerian context. Thirty Five factors are collected from previous studies that influence project management services. Being a conceptual project, this project provides a framework that identifies the factors for the project management success. The framework is being tested empirically using data from on-going construction projects within the premises of University of Lagos, Nigeria. A questionnaire was distributed to experts in the construction domain to determine the importance of factors that are taken into consideration for project management services. A survey was carried out which was conducted with 50 experts in the construction field to determine the score of each factor. Statistical analysis is carried out on the feedback of the respondents of the survey. By using SPSS software, the frequency of the results of the questionnaire was determined. The study recommended among others that there should be a national policy to be enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as we advocate for constitution amendment that encourages the employment of project management services.
