wa... more This review article highlights the imagination as the factor that plays a crucial role in the way people compare, assess, describe and explain their experiences. It also discusses the origin of the human imagination, suggesting a joint effect: The evolution of forms of social interaction and simulated alternatives, development of ultra-social adaptations and the development of evolutionary strategies evolved for cooperation. This effect seems to have given rise to a particularly human quality that makes learning the species Homo sapiens be qualitatively different from that occurs in others. This quality is the simulation of experience, a psychological mechanism resulting in millions of years of evolution, which enables many of the qualities most characteristic of human beings. At the end, they share some ideas about how you can research in psychology in the light of these theories.
