We are excited to announce the release of FunOS 26.04 LTS (Resolute Raccoon) Beta, available starting March 31, 2026.

This Beta release provides an early preview of the next Long Term Support (LTS) version of FunOS, built on the upcoming Ubuntu 26.04 base. It is intended for testing and feedback ahead of the final release.

What’s Included in This Beta

FunOS 26.04 Beta comes with several updates and improvements:

• Updated packages based on the latest Ubuntu 26.04 development branch
• Firefox ESR 140.9.0esr for a stable and secure browsing experience
• Linux Kernel 7.0 for improved hardware support and performance
• 5 new wallpapers sourced from Freepik
• Calamares Installer for a simple and user-friendly installation process
• New splash screen based on the BGRT Plymouth theme from Ubuntu 26.04
