What does gRPC mean?

gRPC Remote Procedure Calls (gRPC), originally known as Google Remote Procedure Call (gRPC), is an open-source Remote Procedure Call (RPC) framework initially developed by Google.
gRPC uses a binary protocol called Protocol Buffers (Protobuf) for data exchange, which is more efficient than traditional text-based protocols like JSON or XML. This leads to faster communication and lower resource usage.
gRPC is commonly used in microservices architectures and distributed systems for building fast and efficient communication between services.
