Very-Low-Density Lipoprotein (VLDL) is a type of lipoprotein made by the liver. VLDL is a type of “bad cholesterol” because it helps cholesterol build up on the walls of arteries and narrows the arteries. This increases the risk of getting heart disease, stroke, and other problems.
