Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS), sometimes also known as Smart Hybrid Vehicle System (SHVS), is a mild hybrid system form Suzuki that incorporates an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and a high capacity battery that offer engine power assistance and is capable of achieving power regeneration. In this technology, the energy saved while braking or decelerating, which is otherwise lost, is stored in a lithium-ion battery and use this stored energy to assist engine power during acceleration thus provide improved fuel economy and reduce carbon emissions.
