Manual Call Point (MCP) is the point in a building where a switch is used manually to activate the fire alarm. MCP is designed to provide manual fire reporting which then sounds the evacuation alarm for the relevant building.
MCP is usually wall-mounted and initiates an alarm when activated by means of a simple button press or when glass is broken revealing a button.
