What does L10N mean?

Localization (L10N or l10n) is the process of making a product such as a software application adaptable to a population other than the one it was originally developed for. L10N mainly involves the translation of the content making the product suitable for a specific locale, region or country.

Note:
The “10” in l10n stands for the number of letters between the first “l” and the last “n” in the word localization.
