What does IFTTT mean?

IFTTT (pronounced like “gift” without the “g”) is a web-based service that allows users to connect between web services so that, when something happens with one service, a trigger goes off and an action takes place automatically on the other. IFTTT is an acronym of “If This Then That”. IFTTT create connections with one simple statement: If This Then That. “If this then that” component basically means: If an event happens (this) in one application, it will trigger an action (that) within another one.
