What does E-Waste mean?

Electronic Waste (E-Waste) is a term used to refer to all types of discarded electrical and electronic equipment and its parts. It can be any discarded household or business item containing circuitry or electrical components like mobile cell phones, computers, televisions, electric lamps, and batteries.
e-waste contains materials that are hazardous, depending on their condition and density, and can cause major environmental problems. Many of these products can be recycled, reused, or refurbished in an environmentally sound manner so that they are less harmful to the environment.
