What does CT mean?

Computed Tomography (CT), also known as Computerized Axial Tomography (CAT), is a medical imaging method that uses rotating X-ray machines and computer processing to create cross-sectional images (slices) of specific areas of bones, organs, and other tissues.
CT shows more detail than a regular X-ray.
The word tomography is from the Greek word "tomos" meaning ‘slice’ or ‘section’ and "graphe" meaning ‘drawing’.
