Computer Numerical Control (CNC) is the use of computers to control and automate machine tools. It controls machine tools through the use of a program embedded in a microcomputer connected to the machine tool. Once the programming is put into the CNC machine, it will operate on its own. CNC is used to control a wide variety of machining tools used in the manufacturing industry.
