Peace needs a vision: FriEnt provides impulses for the implementation of the BMZ reform

With a recent position paper, the Working Group on Peace and Development (FriEnt) is bringing perspectives on peace and development policy into the debate on the reform of German development cooperation. The paper “Recommendations for the Implementation of the BMZ Reform in Peacebuilding and Development Policy” highlights how conflict sensitivity, local ownership and civilian peacebuilding can be enshrined as key guiding principles in the implementation of the BMZ reform agenda “Shaping the future together globally”.

Mona Hein joins FriEnt team with a focus on feminist peacebuilding

As of June 1, Mona Hein has joined the FriEnt team as a seconded staff member from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Her work focuses on feminist peacebuilding as well as on linking different disciplinary perspectives in international peace work.
