‘= Cartridge Compartment
To insert an S:track cartridge, simply press against
the compartment lid and push in. To commence
play, push fully in, To eject, simply press the AUTO
EJECT or EJECT switches. The cartridge will dis
engage from the head automatically, and may then
be removed from the compartment.
= PROGRAM Indicator Lamps
During playback and recording modes, one of these
LED lamps will light up to show which channel is
being used. During continuous play, the channels
will switch repeatedly in the 1 - 2-3 4 order.
= REC Recording Switch
‘Commence recording mode by pushing the 8-track
cartridge fully in deeping this REC switch
depressed. This switch will release-when the car-
tridge is ejected.
= B-Track Cartridge Control Switches
FF (Fast Forward) Switch
Push in for rapid location of other sections of the
tepe.
‘The muting circuit is also activated to prevent the
‘output of sound. If this switeh is accidently pressed
during recording mode, the recording circuit is inter

AUTO EJECT Switch
With switch in out position, the tape will eject at
the end of each channel during recording mode, but
will continue endlessly during playback mode. When
switch is pushed, in the tape will stop and eject at
the end of 4 channels during both recording and
playback modes.
EJECT Switch
For immediate ejection during both recording and
playback modes (followed by stopping of the motor).
Note that this is @ non-lock switch.
PAUSE Switch
For temporary halts during recording and playback
modes.
REPEAT Switch
For repeated playback (but not recording) of the
same channel. If pushed during recording mode, the
tape will stop at the end of the channel.
PROGRAM Switch
For switching over to the next channel (during both
recording and playback modes), even before the car-
‘ridge tape has been inserted (but with the power
‘on). The channels are switched in the same order as,
for continuous play (1- 2-3-4).Grouna
