Program Notes
March with Santa's elves to the North Pole with this charming holiday piece for
beginning strings! Only easy half-note, quarter-note, and eighth-note rhythms from the
D major scale are used as the jolly melody is passed to every section. Optional sleigh
bells add festive cheer to this perfect winter concert selection for young orchestras.
About the Composer

Chris’s scores have been nominated for an Academy of Film & TV Music Award, and he
won the Gold Medal Prize at the Park City Film Music Festival, Best Soundtrack at

SXSW Film Festival, Best Soundtrack at the RIP Horror Film Festival, & Best Film & TV
Music award at eWorld Music Awards. Chris has written music for several Emmy-
nominated films, and one film that was shortlisted for an Academy Award. In television,

he worked as an orchestrator, copyist, and conductor with show’s such as Lost, House,
and CSI:NY.
Chris is currently the resident composer for the upcoming Evermore Adventure Park
and related attractions. He also composes theme park soundtracks for Knott's Berry

Farm, Dreamland (UK), Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, and the Dent Schoolhouse. Most
recently, Chris has been working with The Void on upcoming 4D virtual reality games.
In the concert world, Chris has works performed from Carnegie Hall to the Hollywood
Bowl. He orchestrated a concert for the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Master
Chorale's Easter Celebration at the Hollywood Bowl, and worked with Randy Newman

on his album, Dark Matter. His compositions have been performed and recorded by the
Hollywood Studio Orchestra, Pacific Symphony, Northwest Symphony Orchestra, Rose
City Chamber Orchestra, University of Southern California Symphony, Angeles String

Quartet, Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra, Fear No Music ensemble,
Willamette University Chamber Choir, Oregon East Symphony, A-Sharp Youth
Symphony and various American festival ensembles.

Chris’ studies at the prestigious Scoring For Motion Pictures and Television program at
University of Southern California's graduate school led to his current connections with
Hollywood's A-list composers and filmmakers, launching his diverse and evolving
career.
