NOTIFICATION

The 31st August , 2012

No. S.O.65/H.A.16/1994/S. 32/2012.—In exercise of the powers conferred by

sub-section(1) of section 32 of the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994 ( 16 of

1994) and in consultation with State Election Commission, the Governor of Haryana

hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Haryana Municipal Corporation

Election Rules, 1994, namely:-

1. These rules may be called the Haryana Municipal Corporation Election

(Amendment) Rules, 2012.

2. In the Haryana Municipal Corporation Election Rules, 1994 ( hereinafter

called the said rules), in rule 4, for sub rule (1) the following sub-rule shall be substituted,

namely:-

“(i) The Deputy Commissioner shall under the superintendence, direction

and control of the State Election Commissioner, Haryana cause to be

prepared roll for each constituency of the Corporation in accordance with

these rules on the basis of the electoral roll of the Assembly prepared

under the provisions of the Representation of People Act, 1950 (central

Act 43 of 1950), for the time being in force for such part of the constituency

of the Assembly as is included in the relevant electoral division, subject to

any amendment, deletion or addition or any inclusion of any name and

same shall, be the electoral roll for that constituency of the Corporation.”

3. In the said rule, in rule 21, in sub rule (2), in the proviso to clause (ix), for

the word “tenth”, the word “seventh” shall be substituted

4. In the said rules, in rule 70N, in sub rules (1) and (4) for the word ”ten”, the

word ”seven” shall be substituted.

5. In the said rules, for Forms A, B, C and D, the following Forms shall be

substituted, namely:-
