Read the following selection carefully then answer the questions which follow in complete
ENGLISH sentences.
A Trip Abroad
L’année dernière, je suis allée à Paris avec ma famille. Nous avons voyagé en avion. Nous avons
pris l’avion de Londres à Paris. À Paris, nous sommes allés directement à notre hôtel. Ma sœur a dit
qu’elle était très fatiguée ; elle a dormi pour toute l’après-midi. On a décidé de rester avec ma sœur. Nous
avons mangé à l’hôtel et nous avons regardé la télé ; c’était tranquille.
Le lendemain, nous avons visité le Louvre. Le Louvre est un grand musée avec une construction

moderne – la Pyramide. Nous avons tôt quitté l’hôtel parce que mon père a entendu que c’est un très
grand musée avec beaucoup de peintures comme le très célèbre Mona Lisa et de sculptures. Le bus est
arrivé au musée après une demi-heure. Ma sœur et moi avons pris beaucoup de photos. C'était très
fascinant.
Après la visite, mes parents sont retournés à l’hôtel pour dormir. Heureusement, ma sœur n'a pas
voulu dormir. Nous avons marché du Louvre à l’Avenue de Champs-Élysées où il y a tous les magasins
célèbres et le plus grand magasin de Louis Vuitton. J’ai décidé d’acheter une glace. J’ai choisi une glace à
la vanille et ma sœur a choisi une glace au chocolat. C'était délicieux! Nous avons aussi regardé beaucoup
de beaux vêtements et de chaussures par les fenêtres. On a continué notre promenade à l’Arc de
Triomphe. Ce monument célèbre commémore les victoires de Napoléon.
Le troisième jour, notre dernier jour, toute la famille a dîné au restaurant sur la Tour Eiffel où on
peut voir tout Paris. Le repas c’était délicieux et nous avons parlé de notre voyage. On a acheté beaucoup
de souvenirs. Nous sommes rentrés à Londres le jeudi. C’était une très bonne expérience. J’aime Paris.
