Doom: The Dark Ages - We've Played It!

10 mois, 2 semaines - When I went into my hands-on with Doom: The Dark Ages I was prepared for intense violence and high volume heavy metal, but what I didn’t count on was such an exhilarating amount of demon-killing variety. By the end of my two-hour demo I’d used a saw-toothed shield to slice through demons like it was Beelzebub’s Beyblade, stomped around a war-ravaged city as a colossal Mecha-Slayer, and even brought a snarling Cyberdemon to an explosive end by breathing fire directly down its throat with my faithful dragon steed. Talk about a heartwarming moment. Every aspect of it looked and felt incredible. It may take place in the dark ages of the Doom timeline, but the Slayer’s latest slaughterfest might well represent the peak of the series’s modern era. Previewed by Tristan Ogilvie.

In other news, a new Palworld update is available that finally enables crossplatform play. And finally, two gaming industry vets revealed plans to create an MCU-style interconnected universe for Marvel games, even before the MCU was even a thing.

Why There's No Multiplayer in Doom: The Dark Ages - IGN Daily Fix

1 année - In today's Daily Fix:Microsoft and Bethesda dropped some new details on the upcoming Doom: The Dark Ages yesterday, but one feature from the previous two games seems to be missing: multiplayer. The developers at id did confirm that the game only has a single-player campaign, only because they wanted to "go all-in on the campaign." Sorry, no ripping and tearing with friends, but you get to pilot a giant mech and ride a dragon, so that's a pretty good trade-off. In other news, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black just surprise-dropped onto consoles and PC yesterday, but if you're holding off because you want a physical copy, you're in luck. Odd thing is that it's only for PS5, which is weird because the game was announced at an Xbox event and is now available on Game Pass. And finally, in entertainment news, director Robert Eggers has a couple of projects lined up after finding success with his take on Nosferatu. Eggers will reportedly helm a sequel to Labyrinth, the 80s dark fantasy film starring the late David Bowie.
