The theme of Spring In-Service is Transformation, Adaptation, and Disruption. As educators, we are at the forefront of shaping the future of education. January In-Service Breakout Sessions (January 17 and 18) provide a platform to explore how we can harness the power of transformation to re-imagine curriculum design, adapt teaching methodologies to diverse learning styles, and embrace disruption as an opportunity for innovation. Share your experiences, strategies, and research that illuminate the ways in which we can navigate these dynamic forces to inspire meaningful learning outcomes for our students and ourselves.

Join us in this exciting journey of charting new paths and fostering resilient academic communities.

August In-Service Keynote Speaker: Mays Imad

Join us on Thursday, August 18th for COD Convocation Days Keynote Presentation by Mays Imad, professor of Genetics, Biotechnology, and Bioethics at Pima Community College.

Mays’s current research focuses on stress, self-awareness, advocacy, and classroom community, and how these relate to cognition, metacognition, and, ultimately, student learning and success. Through her teaching and research, she seeks to provide her students with transformative opportunities which are grounded in the aesthetics of learning, truth-seeking, and self-realization.
