There aren't enough AUs in this fandom, especially stripper AUs (HELLO, have you seen Magic Mike<\/i>, I MEAN REALLY). Anything where Marcus and Esca are rivals would be amazing, and if you're feeling generous I'd even beg for a college frat boy AU (RIVAL FRATS WHERE EACH HAS TO DEFEND THEIR HONOR omg why aren't more of theeeeese sob). I'm also a huge fan of porn...lots of porn. Marcus being dumb and not knowing what he wants. Esca being smart and knowing how to give it to him. I don't necessarily need one or the other topping, just Esca being in control (that being said, Esca being a dominant bottom is GLORIOUS AND WONDERFUL). Voyeurism is A+++++. I'm not squeamish about violence if you want to keep them in canon, but I definitely need a happy ending. No unrequited stuff or character deaths, please!
2. Captive Prince<\/i> - C.S. Pacat (Laurent\/Damen)
If you're like me, you've chewed both your arms off waiting for the third book to come out. Since I'm desperate for anything Laurent\/Damen-related, I will take virtually ANYTHING about these two. You can do a quick-and-dirty PWP, or a lovely little vignette where Laurent shows ALL THE EMOTIONS. Or you can do a what-if scenario, which are always great. I especially love the What-If-Auguste-Had-Lived scenarios, heart-breaking as they are. Porn or no porn, I only ask that you give me a great Laurent POV, because Laurent ;____;<333333.
3. The Baby-Sitters Club<\/i> - Ann M. Martin (Byron Pike\/Jeff Schafer)
Um, if you don't know me at all, you should prooooooobably understand that I am obsessed with high school fics. Like, a lot. A LOT, a lot. Hence my slight fixation on this pairing and my love for Byron Pike. I love the triplet dynamic, and how Byron is the ~smart~ one of the bunch, the romantic one. Byron's POV is my favorite; him struggling to figure himself out, and not just his sexuality. First-time fic is like CATNIP for me, so naturally I love virgin\/experienced character pairings. Not saying Jeff has to be a man-whore, but I definitely like him with the upper hand in terms of sexual experience. And you don't necessarily have to set it in high school! College settings are perfectly acceptable! Just as long as there's tons of pining and misunderstandings and sweetness and sexiness and angst and boys being stupid, I will LOVE YOU FOREVER, AUTHOR.

I gave my final presentation for my MBA last night with flying colors. I could not have asked for things to go any better. I presented a business plan that I (along with three others) have literally been working on for nearly two years to a panel of four professionals--three business faculty and one outside business guy. IT WAS GREAT! I mean, lol, not that I'd do that every day because fuck that, but in terms of how smoothly everything went and how the panel reacted to everything, I'm ecstatic. I cried when they came back from deliberation and said told us congratulations, we now have our MBAs. :DDDDDDDDDDDD
(If you're wondering, the business is a drive-thru liquor store. NO, we are not starting this irl, we're SICK OF TALKING ABOUT LIQUOR STORES, LOL.)

As for my Yuletide gift fic, I got TWO!!
- Now Again a Beloved Son<\/a> by sevenses, which is 27k (!!!) of canon AU Captive Prince fic (!!!!!!!!!!!!). YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT. This fic looks at what would happen if Damen hadn't killed Auguste on the battlefield at Marlas. Gorgeous, complex, and complete in keeping with Damen's canon voice. The bromance between him and Auguste is worth reading alone. This story was an embarrassment of riches, let me tell you.
- extreme songs that told me<\/a> by Siria, a short, sweet Bourne Legacy character study of Aaron and the insecurities he carries. ♥

So, thanks to a few great fandom peeps, I've decided to try and write an original novel for this publisher<\/a>, specifically for their \"Coming of Age\" genre. There are open calls for YA LGBT short stories, but, ahahaha, the idea I came up with is going to be WAY LONGER THAN 12K. I'm honestly super, super excited about it, because seriously, me getting paid to write high school AUs IRL? WHY NOT?
I don't want to say I'm putting fanfic on hold in the new year; I don't think I will, necessarily. I still want to work on \"Copper\" and \"Bylines\", but I also want to tell the story of Jake Abbott, who definitely isn't gay and definitely isn't into Carson Green, who moves back to town after six years and suddenly isn't the scrawny little blond kid Jake remembers. He's still scowly and sharp with Jake--he clearly remembers Jake picking on him as kids, even though their parents made them walk to the library together for summer reading program--but then there's the issue of Carson now being five inches taller than Jake and built like an athlete (Carson would rather die than play team sports, however; the son of a bio-chem professor mother and a pharmaceutical salesman father gets into science stuff early on). Jake doesn't have crush, though. He's too busy being a star baseball player and pretending that he doesn't have leather-bound journals full of writings for his future novel, or that he doesn't love to read all the books stacked in his room. Carson still thinks Jake's that cocky kid he grew up with, and Jake wants to keep believing Carson's just a dweeby nerd who hates him.
So...there's that. I think that is a story I would like to write. Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013) [Hansel\/Mina, Gretel]<\/b> - Seriously, I know I JUST said I don\u2019t like gen fic, buuuut if you wanted to write some cracktastic gen fic where they swear a lot and kill a bunch of demons, that\u2019d be swell. Or, if you wanted to write an AU where they\u2019re in college and Hansel is dealing with fraternity rush and meets a cute townie girl named Mina, I wouldn\u2019t complain. The point here is ~HANSEL~ any time, all the time, yes?
2. The Eagle | The Eagle of the Ninth (2011) [Marcus\/Esca]<\/b> - Oh boy, I love these two SO MUCH, and hey, they\u2019re in love in canon, so it\u2019s pretty hard to complain about any fic written about them. I have, um, specific kinks with these two? Marcus being needy and slutty and Esca just domming the crap out of him is A+. I also looooooove virgin!Marcus and ~experienced!Esca, so do what that as you will. I once had an idea for a What\u2019s Your Number<\/i> AU that was never written\u2026:D? I really just love Esca being frowny and exasperated and totally in love with his big, goofy boyfriend.
3. Captive Prince - S.U. Pacat [Damen\/Laurent]<\/b> - I could drown myself in these characters, and while I\u2019d DIE for some great porn, I really would be just as content with a character study of, like, Damen watching Laurent and catalog all the things he loves about him (which is basically the entire series, I know, crol). Or, anything showing Laurent being vulnerable and emotional for Damen alone, either on purpose or without realizing, would kill me in the best way possible. My absolute favorite parts of the series are when Damen shows how well he understands Laurent more than anyone ever has and how that knowledge both flusters, frustrates, and touches Laurent so very deeply.
4. The Quick and The Dead (1995) [Cort\/Ellen]<\/b> - Oh god, please, please, PLEASE JUST WRITE ME A HAPPILY EVER AFTER CODA, i.e. Ellen stays behind and she and Cort have all the sex and rebuild the town and are HOT, BADASS LAWMEN (LAWPEOPLE??) TOGETHER.
5. Bourne Legacy (2012) [Aaron\/Marta]<\/b> - It is my personal headcanon that Aaron is a virgin. I won\u2019t get into the details, but in short he\u2019s never, ever had the kind of life where he could naturally explore his sexual wants and desires like a normal person. He\u2019s only ever been a soldier or a science experiment or an assassin. But with Marta, he can finally learn to be a real person and a human being. Anything you can write that deals with any aspect of this headcanon would be AMAZEBALLS.

I had a super long solo road trip this past weekend wherein I listened to Save Rock and Roll<\/i> on repeat for like five hours. So! Things! Yesterday I completed my FIFTH half marathon, whaaaaat? It was by far the hardest race I've ever done, but that's kind of the point of it: if you know anything about Kansas City's Hospital Hill Run<\/a>, you know it's all about the hills. But it's also ranked in the top 20 half marathons in the country, and some of the greatest runners in America have run this course. And the good news is that my time wasn't horrible (for me) and I feel really great about how I performed. Plus I got a ~snazzy~ track jacket.
Fandom-wise, I'm in a weird spot where no one is really talking about the fandoms I care about, and my Tumblr dash is full of things I don't care about. Whine whine whine, whatever. I just want ComicCon to happen and then everyone can get back to talking about all things Marvel, heh. I'm moderately interested in the new season of Teen Wolf, but the fandom's kind of burned me out on that show.
