("NOM NOM VIOLA.")
After that early "goal" went in, I can't have been the only one going "same old freaking Viola," and expecting the usual collapse and loss. But an amazing thing happened -- they didn't quit, and in fact looked pretty good, despite only coming away with a point. The midfield was all kinds of lively and confident on the ball, Gila made some great, one-touch passes back to them to set up attacks, Monty, D'Agostino, and CZ were all sharp, Cerci was impressive in his cameo, and Mighty Marco was a whirling dervish of eyebrows and saggy socks.
No doubt this means the next match will be a disaster, but it was nevertheless an awfully encourage start.
