Hi Everyone! I found it really hard to search for games when looking at a console and none are expanded. I wrote a little script that writes the name of each game on top of it's cover so I'll be able to find games easier and even use the browser's search functionality on a console. Here's the script and how to use it: 1. Create a new bookmark in your favorite browser 2. Enter the following name: "Launchbox - inject names" 3. As the URL, enter the following code: javascript:(function() { $('.box-item').each(function(){ let qElm = $(this); let boxWidth = this.clientWidth; let imgWidth = qElm.find('img')[0].clientWidth; let boxHeight = this.clientHeight; let imgHeight = qElm.find('img')[0].clientHeight; let hSpace = (boxHeight - imgHeight) / 2; let wSpace = (boxWidth - imgWidth) / 2; let name = $.trim(qElm.next().find('h3').text()); qElm.append(`<div style="position: absolute;bottom: ${hSpace + 5}px;left: ${wSpace}px;right: ${wSpace}px;color: white;display: flex;align-items: center;text-align: center;justify-content: center;background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5)">${name}</div>`); });})() I usually put this in my bookmark bar for easy access. Look at the gif for a quick demo. I hope someone else will find this useful ? Notice that it might take a while if your rom collection for a specific console is huge ?

Hi everyone, I would like to contribute with background and in-game images for the available games in GOG.com, I have two questions, the first (probably directed to the DB moderators), what image naming would be the most useful for uploading these to the Games DB? For example, the Chronicles of Riddick game (Chronicles of Riddick Dark Athena) I could either rename the downloaded images as “CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK: ASSAULT ON DARK ATHENA, THE “ (This would be closest to the official game title. BUT NOTE, for this particular case, the GOG.com naming places “the” at the end and not the beginning of title as found in most web sources). Or “the_chronicles_of_riddick_assault_on_dark_athena” (same name used at the game’s webpage linked above. Images are already named this way, but I could rename to the above if needed) And second question, and this is where Jason may need to step in, how can I batch upload all the renamed images to the database?. The total is over 1.7K background images for the the available game and soundtracks, plus I could also upload in-games for each as in the examples below.

Good morning, I have two problems with game database. Everytime i used "&" character (example: Scooby & Scrappy Doo) , the name of the game appears with " Scooby & Scrappy Doo". And if I want to edit it (or any other change), example: Pyjarama game in Sinclair ZX Spectrum (i got wrong and wrote Pajamarama), in both cases appears the error massage below. Thx. Server Error in '/' Application. Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine. Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off". Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.
