Hi everyone, I’m setting up PlayStation 2 games in LaunchBox and wanted to get some advice from people who’ve already dialed this in. I’ve noticed that PS2 emulation can behave differently depending on emulator versions, BIOS files, and per-game settings. Sometimes a game runs fine on one version and has issues on another, which makes library management a bit tricky. How are you all handling this inside LaunchBox? Do you stick to a single emulator version, or do you keep multiple versions configured for compatibility? Also, what’s your preferred way of organizing BIOS files so LaunchBox stays clean and easy to maintain? I followed a detailed setup and BIOS guide recently that helped clarify a few things during my testing, so I’m curious how closely your setups match common recommendations: AetherSX2 APK Would appreciate hearing how others approach this, especially for larger PS2 libraries. Thanks!

Hello, I had this working on v11 way back but hadn't used launchbox/bigbox in a while. it prompted me for a few updates and updated to v13.15 but then when trying to launch psp games using ppsspp v1.7.1 it will open up ppsspp and say "could not load game. error reading file". I know the games work because i can open them directly from the standalone emulator, but i cant open them from launchbox or big box. i updated the emulator to v1.17.1 and now it just launches into a black screen. i tried changing the graphics backend on ppsspp to dx11 and opengl and it works on standalone, just not with launchbox/bigbox. Troubleshooting attempts: -deleted the games from the sony psp side menu and re-imported them from their folder and that did nothing. -checked that the file path for the emulator was looking where the games are -checked the file path for the emulator itself was correct At this point i am out of ideas.

Does anybody know how I can find out the full path of ROM file for Running or Exit Scripts? My intention is to run "vmrun.exe" - where I can pass the full path of the rom file - in my case this is a VMX file: I am reading about the variable "%1%" in many threads here, but this seems only work, when I use a separate AHK script. But I don't want mess my LaunchBox with additional AHK scripts. If possible - I would like make use of the onboard possibilities of LauchBoxs "Running Script" and "Exit Script" freature ...

I'm having issues getting games to play. I keep getting error messages. I'm a complete noob to launchbox/big box. I have this same issue on 2 different computers both what I think is overkill on specs so I don't think power is the issue. My desktop has dual 3ghz quad core xeon processors with 32gb ram, 4gb geforce graphics and, 512 ssd and 2tg hdd. My laptop 8th gen Core i7 2ghz quad core with nvidia geforce graphics, 16gb ram, and 512 ssd. I feel my issue is something simple that I'm not doing right during setup because I play the games using retroarch without any issues. Please give me suggestions as to how I can fix this.
