Flat and Classic Mini Consoles View File A beautiful Launchbox's BigBox theme with "console mini" style menus for your platforms! Features of this theme: Main view: Simple text flat version that runs fast and looks great. Optional "Classic Mini" view for many systems (WIP). Improved original design of some "Classic Mini" (Such as PSX and Genesis). Classic Mini style views for consoles that do not have an oficial Mini version (such as PS2, WII, X360, PSP, 3DS, GBA, GB, ATARI and many more!). Platform/console selection with video (you need to download the video first from regular launchbox menu). This new version features improved compatibility with newer versions of LaunchBox, several font fixes, and new visualizations and formats. The background music was removed to avoid a bug with CTC that occurs when launching a game directly from the game list (maybe I'll put them back in a next update). Liquid View File Introduction Liquid is a theme built to be pad friendly, to be displayed on medium and large screens, and to emphasize high fidelity audio systems. All this in a minimal animated graphic, and with only the information you need to enjoy your videogame library. No distractions, just good design and your videogames. Enjoy it! Hi, as much as I like the new default theme of Big Box 12.14 I noticed that my fans spin up wildly when I am using this theme (on its default settings). CPU usage is really high and temperature immediately goes up to over 75 degrees. Reverting to the "Default (old)" theme resolves the problem, CPU temperature back in the 50s again. The seems to be something really CPU heavy going on with this new theme. I am using Windows 10 on a Ryzen 5 Pro 2400G with Radeon Vega Graphics Anyone else noticed this?

I am in the process of migrating over from using RetroPie pre-builds others have made to LaunchBox and making some decent progress getting the new setup how I want it. One thing I'm struggling with is "Attract Mode". On my previous RetroPie build when it went in to attract, it simply began playing ~30sec video clips from all of my games, one after the other. No "scrolling" through the wheels -- just the video. At BEST, I'd like to know how I could do the video approach in LaunchBox. ALTERNATELY, I don't necessarily mind the scrolling wheels -- but how do I get the video playing inside at least SOME of the game screen that's displayed to the right (or above) the wheel? I've tried toying with different themes, but perhaps I'm just hitting the wrong ones. Thank you in advance!

Hi Guys, Started using LaunchBox a few weeks ago, and after setting it up and playing around with it I realized I couldn't find a theme for Big Box that I wanted to use, so I decided to try my hand at making my own. The only problem was that I didn't know that XAML existed until last week, so it took some learning to get a grasp of it, but I think I managed to learn enough to get the desired theme that I was looking for. I thought I'd share my work, just in case someone else may find the theme useful as well. The theme itself is inspired by a UI I once saw in a Simply Austin video about a year ago, however I took a different approach while creating it. The theme was designed to add as little overhead as possible, while giving a clean and simplistic view of the content. To do this I decided on not adding any images at all to the theme, and instead used XAML to build all the elements. When zipped, the entire theme comes out under 300KB. Download Theme Click here to download RetroFresh from the download's section Installation Instructions Extract RetroFresh.zip into the LaunchBox/Themes folder. Go into the RetroFresh/Fonts folder and install the 'SF Atarian System.ttf' font Open Big Box, go to Options/Views, select the RetroFresh theme. The views I made are as follows: Platform Wheel View This platform view was designed to get out of the way of the full screen platform videos made by all the wonderful people contributing to LaunchBox. The platform videos are the focus here, as the wheel's transparent background let's the video through. Game Vertical Wheel View 1 This game view let's the box art and game video take center stage, while the blurred background image allows for the transparent UI elements to take on its color property. Game Vertical Wheel View 2 This game view is the same as the first, except the wheel is on the right. Game List View This game view substitutes the wheel for a text list.
