hi,
on devkit, why xorg take 33% of the gpu utlization?
I can’t give you an exact answer, but consider Xorg an interface to the GPU. Xorg isn’t just for graphics, it also includes a lot of CUDA apps. So if you run anything CUDA which goes through Xorg, then I’d suspect this is why. If you do anything with direct rendering graphics, then I’d also suspect it for this. tegrastats might be useful for you to see some GPU activity information.
there is no cuda apps runs, you can see from the first picture.
tegrastats don’t help, because it only have freq info, don’t have gpu utlization info.
sudo tegrastats

Are there any apps running in the GUI desktop?
Nothing running on GUI. the system is on idle status. we can reproduce this problem at devkit.
I’m not sure how much of nvidia-smi is on Thor, but do you see anything from:
nvidia-smi pmon -c 1
nvidia-smi pmon is not supported at thor.
you can see from below topic
maybe nvidia-smi compute gpu display into gpu utlization? i am not sure, need nvidia to check.
it is very easy to reproduce this issue at devkit.
Without that I’m not sure how to compute utilization. Someone from NVIDIA will have to answer that, maybe @AastaLLL . Most of the support for nvidia-smi is limited when not using a PCI discrete GPU.
