Ubuntu SDK Manager “Could not detect a board” following the published Thor flash procedures. Holding the middle button while powering on does not appear to place the Thor into forced recovery mode
There are two instructions for this that I saw. One said to hold the middle recovery button while pressing the reset button. That worked for me. Make sure the USB c cable is connected to the port closer to the QSPF port. The other USB port doesn’t allow you to flash it.
Hi,
Please ensure the flashing cable is connected to the J81 port.

Thanks
Thanks. See the diagram below that was shared by the Moderator. That actually did work. It is the Type C connector closest to the display ports. I wazas able to connect to the SDK Manager using that port and the power-on plus middle-button comination. .
I had it backwards- sorry. Glad you got it working though!
Hi,
Please mark the solution so we could close the topics.
Thanks
Done! Thank you! If that port was specified in the instructions, I somehow missed it. I only defaulted to the SDK approach because the boot drive approach in the Thor documentation did not work. Best. Dave
