With fuel prices hitting staggering heights, the operation of any aquatic vessel seems like an almost comical extravagance. Does the shocking expense of operating a $500 million, 5,000 GT superyacht exempt the owner from complying with the laws of basic human decency? Assuredly Knot. Better stick with beer.

Yacht Knot, it turns out.

Brewed in collaboration with @barbarianbrewingidaho Brewing, it’s a luxuriously fruity New Zealand-style IPA with room for your golf clubs and a built-in helipad (matching seaplane not included).

We collaborated with @pizzaportbrewingco, @lincmalt and @coldstreammalt, to brew Book It! - a Small IPA - for this year’s Grainmaker Festival (this weekend) in Washington. The eastern half of Washington is currently experiencing the most widespread and destructive wildfires in the state’s history, displacing thousands of people and affecting tens of thousands.

A huge amount of our raw materials for making beer come from growers and mills in this area and we want to support them as they recover from the effects of these fires. We’ll be sending 100% of the net proceeds from Book It! to disaster relief in the Spokane area. If you’re able to attend the fest, come say hi. If you’re in a position to offer help - the city of Spokane is collecting and managing donations for emergency housing, temporary shelters, food and medical services for those affected by the fires.

The Paisley pattern and the pomegranate fruit originate from the same geographic region (probably, there's some debate on both counts). Is it a coincidence? We think not. Both the Persian Boteh and the Pomegranate fruit share the honor of having been so widely admired and quickly disseminated that no one can agree on their exact provenance.

The Oregon Coast will experience one of the lowest tides of the year today (Tuesday, 7/14). It's a great time to be on the beach with more exposed tidepools and coastal rock formations than usual. We have great tideland around here. And we also have a great beer called Tide Land - a low-ABV stout blended with our finest bourbon and whiskey barrel-aged imperial stout stock - making a comeback this weekend. Even better? Proceeds from Tide Land Stout benefit @elakhaalliance via @1percentftp.

You can taste both Low Tide Cask and Tide Land Stout side by side this weekend when a new batch of Tide Land rolls out of the brewery.
