About ForPlay Films... presented by INKA
ForPlay Films produced by Inka is an independent, all-woman production company, created by intimacy counselor and sex educator Inka Winter. ForPlay Films is on a mission to create erotic films through a feminist gaze.
Our films are designed to turn on women (inclusive of cis, trans, genderqueer) at every level by bringing their pleasure and fantasies front and center. And we love welcoming anyone who loves women too! Because authentic pleasure, emotional connection, and agency are good for everyone, no matter their identity.
About INKA WINTER
ForPlay was created in 2017 by Inka Winter, at the time an LA-based costume designer and lifelong artist.
Inka had a uniquely challenging early life. She spent her formative childhood years living in an artist’s commune in Austria, which turned out to be a cult. On the surface this commune preached free love, but didn’t give women equal standing. In fact, the leader abused his power for his own sexual gratification. Even after the cult was disbanded, the members of the commune – especially those as young as Inka – had a burden of trauma to carry with them.
This was when Inka’s journey of healing, and especially sexual healing, began. But it wasn’t till her adulthood that Inka truly found her voice
INKA the Producer is Born
After a difficult event in her early 30s led her to temporarily lose her desire for sex, Winter looked to porn in an effort to reignite her sex drive, but was turned-off by the objectifying and degrading images she found. Where was the porn that was sensual and sexy? Porn that showed women enjoying sex, rather than existing solely for the man’s pleasure?
When the search came up empty, she decided to make it herself, using the films she created to help herself and other women feel sexually empowered.
Suddenly, Inka was a Producer. A Porn Producer. But one with a very special mission.
Porn by INKA, but for Women... and the Wider World
Inka decided to produce her own pornography, her way. Her very own erotic production studio. Sex by Inka, but for anyone who – like her – needed sexual healing.
Sex by Inka, but for the wider world. ESPECIALLY for women.
And so ForPlay Films Productions was born.
She started by filming real life couples performing scenes inspired by women’s deepest fantasies, showcasing a wide range of sexual acts and practices. She delighted in exploring the authentic desire and connection between real-life couples (and throuples, and more!). She made sure that all her performers had the agency of choice, empowerment, pleasure, time… things that everyone deserves in their sex life. And she believed then – and now – that genuine emotions, trust, and communication create better sex, more pleasure, better porn, and stronger relationships. Win-win-win for everyone.
Ethical, Feminist, Indie - "Holistic Porn" for the Future
Nowadays, ForPlay Films also includes professional adult performers, but continues to focus on chemistry, consent, and women’s sexual autonomy. Performers are encouraged to explore what brings them pleasure. ForPlay Film’s line of branded films, entitled Holistic Pornography bring an entirely new perspective to the forefront, prioritizing the mental health and emotional well-being of a person in tandem with sexual pleasure and fantasy. We are proud to be the creators of this new frontier and ForPlay Films is the only place you will find porn branded as Holistic Pornography with all the benefits, knowledge, and pleasure it can offer.
A Unique Voice in the Adult Industry
Inka is now an multi-award-winning director and producer, and celebrated among the Adult Entertainment and Sexuality Education community for her unique artistic and philosophical voice. But she’s not just known as a singular artist – she’s renowned as a feminist activist and adult-performer advocate. She’s been interviewed by XBiz for their “Women in Adult” series, and has also been profiled by VICE magazine. She’s also been featured on numerous podcasts and blogs. But no matter the media coverage, Inka is determined to stay grounded in her original mission: To help others overcome past trauma and find sexual healing through holistic pornography.
