frm_disable_choice

Heads up!
This article contains PHP code and is intended for developers. We offer this code as a courtesy, but don't provide support for code customizations or 3rd party development.

Use this filter to disable a specific choice in a radio or checkbox field on a given form. This lets you control which choices users can select based on the field ID and the choice index.

Usage

add_filter( 'frm_hide_field_choice', 'disable_my_option', 10, 4 );

Formidable Forms makes advanced site building simple. Launch forms, directories, dashboards, and custom WordPress apps faster than ever before.

Parameters

  • $disable (Bool)
  • $choice_key (int)
  • $is_selected_choice (Bool)
  • $field (Array)

Examples

Always keep the third option disabled

add_filter( 'frm_disable_choice', 'disable_my_option', 11, 4 );
function disable_my_option( $disable, $choice_key, $is_selected_choice, $field ) {
    if ( $field['id'] == 8 && $choice_key === 2 ) {  //Replace 8 with the ID of the field and 2 with the index of the option. $choice_key is zero indexed, so 0 is the first option, 2 is the 3rd.
        return true;
    }
    return $disable;
}
