How to add a Constant Contact form to WordPress

Connecting Constant Contact to WordPress isn't simple. You'll be confused if you check their knowledge base to find an answer.

We get it. You want a simple explanation and an even more straightforward process.

This post will give you that.

In this post, youโ€™ll learn how to use Constant Contact with WordPress. First, weโ€™ll show you how to integrate Constant Contact with WordPress. Then, weโ€™ll show you how to add a form, so you can worry more about building your Constant Contact email lists.

And, weโ€™ll throw in a secret that will make adding a Constant Contact form even more effortless.

So, letโ€™s dive into it.

How do I add a Constant Contact WordPress signup form?

Connecting Constant Contact to WordPress with your email service is never a straightforward process. The same goes for Mailchimp and Mailmunch.

But thatโ€™s why weโ€™re here to break things down for you.

So, with Constant Contact, there are a couple of ways you can do this:

  1. Use Constant Contactโ€™s plugin
  2. Use a powerful form builder

Imagine choosing a route to a destination.

Both ways will get you there, but one has detours and roadblocks. The other is an expressway to get you there quickly. We know what weโ€™d pick.

But, weโ€™ll explain both, so you can decide whatโ€™s best for you.

1. Use Constant Contactโ€™s plugin

If you look at Constant Contactโ€™s documentation, there are three ways you can add a form:

  • Using the Constant Contact WordPress block
  • Use Constant Contact WordPress shortcode
  • Add it to the footer or sidebar

Weโ€™ll show you each of these.

Using the Constant Contact WordPress block

If you havenโ€™t created a form using Constant Contactโ€™s plugin, youโ€™ll want to do that first.

Next, in your WordPress website dashboard, go to your post or page where you want your form shown.

Add a block, then search for Constant Contact. Then, youโ€™ll select the form you want to show and add it to your post or page.

Search for 'Constant' in WordPress blocks to find the plugin's block.

Use Constant Contact WordPress shortcode

Under your Contact forms, copy the shortcode next to the form you want to show.

Then, go to the post or page you want to use and add a block. Search โ€˜Shortcodeโ€™ and paste the code inside the text box.

You can use the shortcode from when you created the form to show it on your webpage.

Once you update the post, your form will show where you pasted the shortcode.

Add your Constant Contact form to a footer or sidebar

Go to the Appearance section of your WordPress dashboard. Here, you can select an area to show your Constant Contact form.

Select where youโ€™d like to show the form, then add the Constant Contact form to the area. When  you save the page, itโ€™ll show the form in the selected area.

So, as we mentioned, adding a form can be easy with Constant Contactโ€™s plugin.

But, there is a more straightforward way.

And, going back to our route analogy, it has better scenery along the way. Plus, you get more control over how your forms look.

And that is by using a powerful form builder (and we recommend one in particular, read on).

2. Use a powerful form builder ?

If youโ€™re looking for subscribers to sign up, forms are essential. And form builders go the extra yard to make your forms stand out, while also saving you tons of time and hassle.

Many exist โ€” WPForms, Ninja Forms, Contact Forms 7 (CF7), Gravity Forms, and more. But, not all have the same abilities.

Thatโ€™s why we recommend using our plugin: Formidable Forms.

The drag-and-drop feature of Formidable Forms makes it easy to use.
