Zombie - My first date (if you could even call it that) with my first boyfriend was to a zombie film. It wasn't the most intelligent decision he ever made.
Pillow - I threw pillows at Ian when we lived in Ancient Rome. Only because everything else I could lift up enough to throw would have hurt him too much.
Needle - One of the things my mother always made sure I knew was how to sew. I can do enough to get by, should I have to make new clothing but I know that I'm not overly great at it.
Sandwich - Some days I got sick of food blocks. Even if it tastes different depending on which codes we enter. There were times when I would crave a sandwich. Even something as simple as a peanut butter sandwich or a salad sandwich or a sandwich with roast turkey and preserves...just for something different.
Purple - There were purple pansies in a small pot on my kitchen window. I assume they died when they weren't looked after for two years. Or maybe the landlord took them. I guess I'll never know.
Christmas - Despite the Doctor's beliefs that it wasn't December at the time, we insisted on having a Christmas in the TARDIS. We had food that tasted like a roast dinner, wine, simple presents and I even found a sprig of mistletoe. Ian walked in on my attempt to fix it to the top of a door way.
Tent - When I was a little girl, I would re-arrange the chairs in the dinning room and drape a sheet over them to create a lumpy tent. I would attempt to spend all day inside them but my mother dissapproved and asked me to take them down soo after I had finished construction.
Wings - Once, I attended a costume party when I was in my teens. I went as a lion in a costume I had spent the entire weekend previous making. One of the other girls went as an angel with wings that reached high over her head and a very short dress with go go boots. I envied her wings. They were absolutely beautiful.
Paper - I could never get away from paper when I was at Coal Hill. On the TARDIS, there never seemed to be enough.
Wine - There was a cellar on the TARDIS. We only had a couple of bottles from it the entire time I was on the TARDIS but I don't drink very much.
1. Ian Chesterton - Friend and college. We often ended in the day in either one's rooms, preparing lessons for the next day or debriefing after a particuarly hard day or marking or simply chatting. I think we enjoyed each other's company rather than returning to our respective, empty homes.
2. Chalk Boards - There is nothing worse than chalk dust. It would get everywhere and make everything so dusty. I had taken to keeping a rag near the board to wipe my hands on because I would forget they were covered in chalk and wipe them on my skirts.
3. Teacher’s College - It didn't take long to begin and then graduate. Seemed like a blink of an eye really. I hadn't wanted to be a teacher to begin with, just a historian but I had to pay the rent and bills somehow. In the end, I began to enjoy it. My own teachers said I was a natural.
4. Susan Foreman - The beginning of everything. For such an intelligent child, you'd think she'd be able to conver up her background a little better. Not that I regret everything too much, of course.
5. Lunch time in the Teachers’ Lounge - Often spent at a table with Ian. Sometimes others would join us and some days it would just be us. We didn't always have to talk about things but it was nice to spend the time with someone.
6. Staff Parties - Never let it be said that teachers don't know how to enjoy themselves. Rhonda, the head of the Mathematics Department would always drink too much and so did Gregg, the other history teacher. Rhonda'd often end up pinching Ian's cheeks and talking baby at him while Gregg would try his hardest to talk any woman in the room back to his house. Or the janitor's closit. I would often sit and giggle with Susie and Brenda, two of the administration assistants. Ian usually spent the evening battling the hoards of women throwing themselves at him. I always left before he did and wondered how his nights ended.
7. Books - I never seem to have enough books on one particular subject. Or I had too many on a subject I wasn't teaching. When I was younger, in teachers' college, I once spent my entire savings on a small pile of books on Aztecs and the Roman Empire. Needless to say that while I was happy enough to have the books, I didn't eat very much for the next couple of weeks.
8. The heating at Coal Hill School - It would stop working at least once every winter. The winter before we stumbled upon the Doctor, Ian made a little heater using a small group of bunsen burners in his lab, where we were working. I still don't know why we preferred that to going to our own homes where the heating worked. Well, I have some idea, I suppose.
9. The Local Museum and school excursions - Once each year, I would take my classes to the local museum for an excursion. The majority of students enjoy it but there were always a small few that would spend the majority of time kissing behind exhibits or standing around talking. I would assume that they only came because they wanted the day off.
10. The Headmaster - He was a nice enough man but I began to have my doubts about his abilities to withstand the gossip amongst his staff when Ian and I were pulled into his office one morning and asked precisely what it was we were doing in eachother's rooms at the end of each day. Ian attempted to joke about it but I jabbed him with my elbow and told the headmaster the truth.
1. Stare at the ceiling from the bed and think as many things about home as I can remember.
2. Change from my sleeping clothes into something a little more appropriate for wandering the TARDIS and visiting whatever planet might be outside today.
3. Say good morning to Susan.
4. Eat a block of food from the food machine that tastes like bacon and eggs and say good morning to Ian.
5. Browse the library for a new book to read.
6. Usually the Doctor wouldn't be too far away, I'll often find him somewhere nearby and greet him and ask him where we are.
7. Ask the Doctor what he's upto and make an attempt at deciphering the answer.
8. Continue writing. I hope to one day publish a book on something.
9. Talk to Ian about home and see if he remembers something I've forgotten.
10. Look through the TARDIS wardobe if I feel like wearing something different.
Chose a *muse* from the list below and I will write you a drabble. If you want it written in a certain canon or with a certain character let me know in your comment.
After limping away and back again, Barbara helped Ian set up the sofa as a kind of make-shift bed with a pillow up one end and a blanket draped over him. She leaned in to kiss Ian again, and…
"The aspirin helped, I think." He had less of a headache at any rate. "I'll just sleep in what I'm wearing." Although he took his jacket and tie off. If things were the other way round he could have…
"Yes, I should find you a pillow," said Barbara as she sat up, "and a blanket. I'd lend you a shirt, too but I'm not sure I have any which would fit you."

She stood up and looked down at Ian, still…
