They were inspired by the BFF for BFF (Best Friends Forever for Breath for Furry Friends) blogathon so successfully done last weekend by the lovely trio of dabhug, geekjul, and kathrynrose. I was similarly inspired, as my daughter furuba9 is on her school's Relay for Life team next weekend. So I had also thought I'd blog during the time my daughter is doing her 24 hour stint on the track next Saturday through Sunday. Frankly, I'm now self-conscious about doing so, as I neither want to steal tru2myart's thunder :-) or drain from the same pool here. And you know what? This weekend the lovely trio of geekjul, dabhug, and kathrynrose are hosting a BFF-athon! BFF - "Best Friends Forever", right? Well, yes. BUT! In this case, BFF also stands for "Breath for our Furry Friends"! They will be blogging around the clock, starting at noon CST, to raise money for animal oxygen masks (to be purchased through H.E.L.P. Animals, Inc.. These masks will be placed on fire trucks along with people oxygen masks, for when animals rescued from fires need oxygen. They'll be accepting Paypal donations and I believe checks as well.
