Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know - it sucks. However, my creativity - had I any to being with - has died for the time being, so nyeh.

huzzah! first official post! (haha, I know  risanda_green - on a side note, are we using our actual names here? after all, it's actually just you and me in this community ^_^;; - wrote the first post, but this is like...the first non-introductory post. and it came from me. *feels proud*)
so we had this discussion in class already, but i didn't get a chance to jump on the bandwagon and get my 2 cents in. (haha) and, though this won't help anyone with russian revolutions, marx's ideas were a key contributor to the whole...you know...downfall of tsarism dealie-o...
so marx's theory - and correct me if i get this horribly wrong - is pretty much that society moves through stages of development.
primitive society (no classes) -> feudalism (many classes, from king down to peasant, a good many butt-kissers to the king in between, and the development of the bourgeoisie class) -> bourgeoisie revolt -> capitalism (development of proletarian class who work for the property owners, factory owners, etc. (i.e. bourgeoisie)) -> proletarians revolt -> socialism (dominated by industrial working class) -> gradual progress to communism.
now, according to karl marx, communism is the ideal. the utopia. the perfect society.
my three questions are:
the last two questions were based on my own personal opinion. there is no other way for me to approach it because i cannot predict what the world will be like in years to come. and i have a horrible feeling that i contradicted myself a little in trying to think of as many arguments (for and against) as possible. as much as i tried, this is still only my own personal opinion, so maybe you'll see me being biased about something or other in there. heck, i dunno. i just spent two hours on this thing. feel free to disageebah, i say. let's just all go to sweden. =) |
