As the Queen's birthday approaches Jane Foster and Darcy Lewis are making plans to return to the USA, Thor and Captain America are expected in London to attend the Trooping of the Colours, and weird things are stirring on Alderney, one of the Channel Islands...

I've nearly finished my BtVS/Thor story, just the remainder of the big fight scene and the epilogue still to write. Since it's turning out quite long (9600 words with more to come) I've decided to start posting it in installments. The first is mostly setting the scene, so don't expect a huge amount of action. Mostly PG apart from a little bad language.

"He's more the strong silent type, like Oz," said Buffy, "but you'd be amazed what he can do with his body. He'll be here in a minute, see for yourself."

The bell rang. Willow went to the door and said "Buffy, someone left a tree here!"

"I am Groot..." said the tree.

"It's like Sid the dummy said," said Buffy, "'Once you go wood...'"

Crossover with Guardians of the Galaxy. The quote at the end of this story and in its title comes from the Buffy episode The Puppet Show, which features a possessed ventriloquist's dummy called Sid:

"...How about you and I do a little rehearsing on our own, honey? You know what they say: once you go wood, nothing’s as good!”

For more on Jessica Jones see her Wikipedia entry, and various Marvel comics, most notably Alias (nothing to do with the TV show) and The Pulse. Some aspects of this story are a little AU for later issues of The Pulse, just assume that they're part of the general "fuzziness" of the Marvel universe. 18 rating, warnings for swearing and violence.

I was going to post this last night, but I was so tired I thought I'd better re-read it first.

After a somewhat depressing delay of a little less than two years, here's the latest part of my BtVS/Angel/Marvel crossover Wolfbane, set two years after the end of Angel Season 5 (and ignoring the comics), and shortly after the end of the first story arc in The Pulse. For more on Jessica Jones see her Wikipedia entry, and various Marvel comics, most notably Alias (nothing to do with the TV show) and The Pulse. Some aspects of this story are a little AU for later issues of The Pulse, just assume that they're part of the general "fuzziness" of the Marvel universe.

This seems to be headed towards fairly adult concepts, so I'm now setting it as an 18 rating.

This is basically a response to quite a few stories I’ve seen recently, and to a long thread about tropes in Buffyverse fanfic on the Twisting the Hellmouth forums; none of the drabbles are based on any one story. I’ve chosen to write about Dawn Summers, but it would have been easy to write something similar about most of the Buffyverse characters.

I can believe a lot of things in Buffy fanfic, but one I have trouble with is the super-competent Scooby, the idea that the characters will easily walk into any job that they want. There are sometimes a few practical problems - and if you're writing about a real job, you have no excuse not to do the research and find out what they are...

There might be even more problems if the Scooby actually gets the job!

Found this on my hard disk - it's a couple of years old, obviously a Buffy / Hellblazer crossover, and the file is called Zatanna which suggests another magician in the mix. I have no idea where I intended to go with it, and anyone who wants it is free to use it, though a credit would be nice.
