Data Quality Flag Issue in LAT Spacecraft File
We recently identified an issue with the data quality flag in the LAT spacecraft position and history files. Since the migration to the new SLAC computing cluster in March 2026, the flags set during data quality monitoring have not been propagated into the spacecraft files. As a result, intervals of poor timing resolution were not being correctly flagged with DATA_QUAL=2, which may affect high time resolution analyses such as pulsar studies. There were eight periods (most spanning multiple orbits) on March 17, 20, and 29 and April 5, 8, 16, 20, and 26 that should have been flagged. The issue has been resolved, and the correctly flagged data are now available from the FSSC. If your analysis requires high time resolution, we recommend re-downloading the spacecraft files and reanalyzing your data.

Normal LAT Data Processing Fully Restored and Backlog Cleared
LAT data processing and deliveries have been fully restored following the successful migration of the Level 1 pipeline to the S3DF facility at SLAC. The backlog of data collected during the processing pause has been cleared, and normal ground operations have resumed. All LAT data and products are now up to date on the public server. Thank you for your patience during this transition.

Update on Pause in LAT Data Deliveries During Pipeline Migration
LAT data processing has successfully restarted on the S3DF facility at SLAC. Data deliveries are resuming, and the full restoration of LAT data and public product updates is expected next week. Data collected by LAT since March 16 will appear in the public server gradually as they complete ground processing and transfer. We will provide an additional update when the backlog of collected data has cleared, and normal ground operations have been fully restored.
