...Or, COE, rather.  MIL now tells me that they won't receive the paperwork until next week, meaning that I cannot apply for the visa here. My contact at the school phoned me last night to, what was it, discuss options? Pretty much, to avoid potential issues with the airline/customs, its recommended that I get either a return ticket or a forward ticket to show that I plan on leaving the country within the 90 day limit. My contact said that he had come across tickets from Narita to Seoul for around 150$, but so far, i haven't found anything under 700$. So, emailed him and asked for links. *sigh*

Have been going through my discs a bit, consolidating all the old burned cds and such. My computer is now showing only 18 gigs free D:. That was unexpected.

On another note, I'm considering starting another blog strictly for my travel stuff. You know, one suitable for parents and grandparents. I could have them wade through all the fandom stuff on here, but... eh.

I'm sure there's more news, like how the exchange rate sucks (40,000 yen = 450 USD? D:) and I think I might have too much stuff, and I can't find half of my Young Avengers comics (D: again), but I can't seem to think of it.

Yup, add that to my list of fandoms. The disease is spreading.

I was minding my own business, reading the fic from my last post (well, finishing that and looking for more Bart/Tim stuff), when I had the urge to read Young Avengers fic.

(Interruption: just saw a post on the youngavengers comm, a fic post, from a GUY. *blink* There are fanboys? Sweet! Now perhaps I can relate to the guys in my programming class, at least in regards to the lack of the opposite gender being present, and my reaction to finding these mythical creatures... Back to my other train of thought...)

Now, I was going to ignore that urge. I usually start out reading fics for a) things that I've never read/watched before or b) things that I dislike parts of the current canon. I like the Young Avengers. Sure, it would be wondrous to see Teddy and Billy kissing with the original artist's work, but I'm fine.

Then I found a fan art. And a drabble. So of course I have to look, see if its any good. Then I see that amarin_rose posted a story, and I've been reading her Teen Titans fics like mad.

And thus, a fandom was born.

I'm tempted to start reading a series (series! as in, longer-than-a-oneshot fic! it exists!), but its 2:05 in the morning here, and I'm supposed to be up before 10. Then again, staying up til 4 apparently doesn't make a difference in my sleeping habits of [past] noon, so...

Please tell me someone else has been reading this comic. Its wonderful. (As is the Authority -- yay, pimpage of comic books!) Go forth and read. Now.
