I've been sewing. Like, lots. My work on the cosplay has... dwindled. *wince* I still can't get the bodice right, so I'm looking into actually buying a pattern.
But!!! I finished the underskirt for the goth-loli 'bustle' skirt, which I found here. It has literally taken me six or so hours to pin all the lace ruffles on (yes, I did lace... *headdesk*) and then sew them. Gah. But its done! Now I just need to make the overskirt... which is going to be my own design. Or, well, stolen from the antebellum dress I own. But squee...
So. I have to buy more elastic, or possibly grosgrain ribbon and a few pairs of hook and eyes, white bias tape, and... hmm. Probably more stuff. Like material for bloomers, a petticoat, and that shirt pattern I'll be obsessing over for the next few months.
Did I mention that I lurk the Gothic Lolita subculture? Yeah... definitely do not have the money to buy the designer clothes, and only recently obtained a sewing machine (thank you mommy). But yeah. Fun stuff.
Time to actually get [school]work done... or sleep. One or the other.
