grrr

I swear, no one online can count.

I'm trying to make hitoe/kosode -- pretty much, the layers of a kimono -- because I need to do a Bleach cosplay at some point, and I'm trying to figure out the logistics of the patterns.

So I found two, right? here and here. But they DISAGREE. The kosode is the undergarment (historically; its evolved into the modern kimono), and one says that kosode is wider, the other has the panels for the hitoe wider (though the collar is wider on the kosode, which may make up for it -- not!).

AND THEY CAN'T COUNT. *huffs*

AnneLiese's says that 5 yards is 120 inches (its 180), and the other has two layouts for different fabric widths, saying you need 5.25 to 6yds of fabric. I counted the dimensions -- at most, you'd need 148 inches, or 4 and 1/9 yards.

I'm so confused.
