Ok, so I started looking for Naruto fanfiction, cuz I'm getting too lazy to look for more Gundam Wing/Harry Potter/Sentinel/Anita Blake/Stargate/etc fic that don't come to me (whether from fic recs or update emails).

And, considering that it is a fairly large fandom, I decided to do a limited search on FFnet, right? *shudder*

I like long fics. REAAAAALLY long fics, if possible. Also, I want to avoid fluff, especially in this fandom, because its out of character to start out with. Humor is great. Action/suspense/etc is great. But I do want a slashy plot/subplot. I'm being too picky. I know.

Ok. So, anyone know of any rec lists, at least? I found a Gaara/Naruto longfic that was decent, but that's because it had a feasible background that could have gotten them (Gaara, at least) slightly less... edgy? *shrug*

Sap is fine in fics (Jei's Moments of Haven comes to mind) as long as the character development allows for it. I am not a fan of OOC. I adore crack!fic and crossovers, but more because you have IC characters in fucked up situations, and then figure out how they would deal. I understand that slight history/reaction modifications may be necessary, but only ones up for interpretation (or given an alternate interpretation, at least).
