Just finished this one called "What it's like to be a girl". Hence the song selection. (Funny, I actually own this cd...)
Basic summary: due to a truth or dare game, Harry has to spend a day dressed in the school uniform. This actually has a serious plot-- not a sillyfic or pure smut, as the crossdressing dare might imply. *sigh* I will never be able to give adequate summaries, but some of the basic prejudices and largely unnoticed social statuses are addressed, mainly how differently (and sometimes disrespectfully) women are treated. This hasn't been an overlarge issue, personally, but it was interesting.

The story I read just prior to this was a chan fic (hpss), which I'm finding that I'm actually intrigued by how different authors approach the issue. Anyway, its also develops the atmosphere of healthy D/s relationships, without actually going into the subject of BDSM. (Yes, in addition to crossdressing and chan, I have been finding some lovely BDSM-related fics. Shut up.) I've been trying to find stories that more accurately depict the development of such [healthy] relationships, which has been somewhat... difficult.
