Oh me oh my

If Livejournal were a subject in school, I'd receive a big old "F" for "FAIL." This is a theme with all my recent posts, so maybe I should stop apologizing for it. Still, it's been like 3 weeks since I posted last, and every time I sat down to post I felt like I had either too much to say or not enough, so I just put it off again. Christ. And I know I missed at least one important birthday (I LOVE YOU revid!!!) and a new job (CONGRATULATIONS tasyfa!!!) so deep apologies for that.

Life has been fine. Kaplan has hired me and is going to get back to me tomorrow or Tuesday about the training schedule for this month (hooray!). I had a great time with all my Green Day geeks when and_ed, thelackey, and revid came to visit, and we teamed up with leighrowena, _somniac_, and indie_wonka and all went and had ourselves a fun-filled karaoke time. (That was the voicepost, by the way. Karaoke. Heh.) I went home briefly to Ohio for a visit (haunted busrides and flaming semis, oh my!) and caught Alkaline Trio and Rise Against down in LA for Halloween as a last-minute trip when a Blood PAct friend won tickets to the concert. I've been happily reading and writing as much as I can get away with and not get yelled at by someone (read: my boss). Life is pretty good.

Election is in two days. TWO DAYS. I'm giving myself ulcers over here, people. I check fivethirtyeight obsessively, and I cross-check at BCC.co.uk and MSNBC too, because I'm a freak like that. I will be SO FUCKING GRATEFUL when it's over and life can be semi-normal again.
