The reason is that language teaching is seen as a great investment to produce quality of human resources needed for productivity and development. But unfortunately language teaching in Nigeria is bisected with myriads of problems. These includes; poor funding and thus poor facilities, inadequate teachers, inadequate teaching aids (Projectors, Computers, Laboratories and Libraries) etc. The study investigates the work employability standard of the Nigerian aquaculture graduates with reference to selected Universities from the six geo-political zones in Nigeria. As the society continues to be more service-oriented, both government and private organizations continue to search for graduates equipped with relevant and saleable skills necessary for work employability upon graduation. In doing this, the paper examines French Language Teaching in Nigeria and the problem facing the language, we also appraised the student's industrial work experience scheme (SIWES) and the practical/occupational components of the 2011 minimum standard of the Nigerian University French programme relative to the prevailing work employability standard in order to find out whether the curriculum is contributory to the unemployment of these graduates. Human Capital Theory which was popularized by Schultz formed the theoretical framework for this study. The research adopted a descriptive research design with survey methods of analyses. The target population of the study is made up of the 2000 post graduate students from University

It tried to ascertain if the application of neo-liberal framework in the implementation of NEPAD undermine poverty alleviation in Nigeria and the extent to which NEPAD can go in eradicating poverty judging from her objectives. Analysis were anchored on both the Dependency Theory and the Neo-liberal Theory while qualitative method of data collection was used to glean data from documentary evidence of secondary sources. Qualitative descriptive analysis was employed with logical induction. The article revealed that at present the NEPAD target on poverty in Nigeria is unlikely to be met. The problem is that market-driven policies avoid analysis of power relations, which ultimately determines inequality and poverty. Again, poverty alleviation using the instrumentality of NEPAD is untenable under a neo-liberal economic framework. On the basis of our findings we recommend that the Nigerian state can only fight the war against poverty if it adopts a welfarist approach or regulated capitalism.

Incidentally it was this reform in question that opened the rural area to any meaningful development in terms of in-put that could be garnered from the federation account. Local Government has historically provided services of importance to its citizens in rural and urban areas in Nigeria. These services include provision of basic amenities like water, roads, health facilities, education, etc. In recent time, the role of Local Government in providing these services has attracted public concern. Furthermore, it has generated national crisis as a result of increasing rate of poverty among the rural people. Some scholars view this development to poor budgeting and implementation while others associate it to the federal and state government's interference. In this work, we are focused on budgeting as it relates to the Local Government in Nigeria. This paper therefore, examines and investigates the difficulties in budget preparation and monitoring for ensuring project implementation in Nigeria with emphasis on the Local Government.

It is a process of bringing about a relatively permanent change in human behavior. As the oldest industry, it is the main instrument used by society to preserve, maintain and upgrade its social equilibrium. A society's future depends largely on the quality of its citizen's education. However, the natural endowments and the large economic potentials in Nigeria made the country to place education at the forefront of its development. The study is based on the political economy framework which provides us the use of holistic approach and permits us to look at Educational Development in both the military and the civilian regimes in Nigeria in its entirety. The paper finally stated that responsible leadership facilitates educational process while bad leadership ruins education. In conclusion therefore, for sustainable and substantial educational growth in Nigeria, only the right leadership can save the system from retrogression and absolute dwindling. made suggestions on the way forward. education: A contemporary analysis.
