only a week and a half until SDCC and i'm not prepared for anything i should be prepared for...work....killing meeeee
BUT!

3:30-4:30 Comics Design— How do pages of art become a book? Six designers -- Mark Chiarello (DC Comics), Adam Grano (Fantagraphics), Chip Kidd (Random House), Fawn Lau (VIZ), Mark Siegel (First Second Books), and Keith Wood (Oni Press) -- discuss what's involved in the process of comics design, and the importance of design to a book's critical and consumer reception. Moderated by Chris Butcher (The Beguiling). Room 26AB
i would have attended this panel even if i wasn't on it cuz CHIP KIDD! also most excellent dudes from fantagraphics *DROOL* and the art director for oni, so you know i'd love to pick their brains on how some of them manage their manga licenses and/or original titles....
if you guys are going, feel free to see me make a fool of myself~ eitherway i hope it's interesting~
this year there's a bunch of panels i want to go to, but TIPPITY TOPTOP on my list is the mythbusters panel on saturday~~! ALL FIVE AT ONCE! amazingggg
that's about it for the public stuff~~! i'm just focusing on work right now...can't wait until after SDCC! |
