The method returns a copy of the original string after the operation and is represented by the following syntax \u2013<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Method syntax<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">string.strip([characters])\n<\/pre>\n<p>Where,<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><code>characters<\/code> param is optional and it specifies the list of characters to be removed. If this not specified leading and trailing whitespaces are removed from the given string<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-1-how-does-the-method-work\">1.1 How does the method work?<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When the character on the left of the string mismatches with all the characters specified in the optional argument, it stops removing the leading characters<\/li>\n<li>Similarly when the character on the right of the string mismatches with all the characters specified in the optional argument, it stops removing the trailing characters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-2-setting-up-python\">1.2 Setting up Python<\/h3>\n<p>If someone needs to go through the Python installation on Windows, please watch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=i-MuSAwgwCU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this<\/a> link.
